Mercurey Premier Cru 2014, Champs Martin, Jean Maréchal
The Greedy Loft
The wine is very pure and refined, with fresh aromas of cherries and subtle vanilla oak. In the mouth, the wine is smooth and ample with crunchy red summer fruits and a fruity and clean finish.
It is deep and ruby red hue. This wine evokes raspberry, strawberry, and cherry. The age gives it accents drawing on the undergrowth, on spicy aromas of tobacco and cocoa beans. Mineral wine, graphite, fruit on the small cherry, underlined by a very fine woody.
The wine was aged in 30% new oak, for 12 months with medium toasting.
Jean Maréchal offers wines of the highest quality, controlled designation of origin, harvested in the best wines. The grapes of the wines are made entirely by hand. The family estate is located on the clay and limestone hills of Mercurey in Burgundy. Owner harvesting for several generations, the estate includes some of the best parcels of raw wines: Clos L'Eveque, Clos Barraults, Champs Martin, Naugues, Byots. The development of the wines is the culmination of a long tradition and a constant evolution according to technical advances and new farming methods in order to express all the personality of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
